How to Deal with Being
Dumped
When you have someone there for you, to
love you and care for you is a wonderful thing, but when that same person dumps you, it turns from
wonderful to horrible.
No one likes hearing that they are not wanted anymore.
Hearing that hurts and confuses you. There are ways in which you can start dealing with being dumped. Some people find good ways to get over their ex and some
people find bad. If you can be one of those that find the good ways, then you will be able to move on
quicker.
First, you should cut your ex out of your life
completely. This means, no more texts, phone calls, or emails. No communication whatsoever. This
also means that you should ignore them as well if they try to contact you. This may not count if your ex
calls you after the two of you have just broken up. They may have changed their minds and want to make up.
This does not mean that you should go back to them or let them use you.
Just because they call you, does not mean that they want you
back, they may just be lonely. During this time, if you still have feelings for them, you will be
vulnerable and would accept any attention they are willing to give you. You should not give into that,
because you will only feel used and it will take you that much longer to cut your ex out of your
life.
A lot of people push their own needs aside
to focus on their partner's needs instead during a relationship. If your ex did not like to participate in
the things you like, then you more than likely have not done these things in awhile. Take the opportunity
to start doing them now. Start feeling good about yourself by participating
in these activities once more.
You should focus on yourself at this point, not on
your ex and what could have been. This is the time when you need to start thinking about what is
best for you and the good things in your life. Maybe there are some classes that you have been wanting to
take or a club you have been wanting to join. You should go for it. All positive thoughts are a good
thing, because they will help you focus on your future instead of past painful memories.
Dealing with being dumped may be hard to do, but if you take
these helpful tips to heart, then you will be happier, more confident, and ready to move on from what was
there with your ex.
